Impact of meal-related triglycerides on heart artery disease in non-diabetic patients
Postprandial Triglyceride Impact on Coronary Atherosclerosis in Non-Diabetic Patient in Sohag University Hospital [NCT ID Not Yet Assigned]

What this trial studies
This observational study investigates the relationship between postprandial triglyceride levels and the progression of coronary atherosclerosis in non-diabetic patients. It aims to understand how the transient increase in triglycerides after meals may influence cardiovascular health, particularly in the context of coronary artery disease (CAD). The study will include patients diagnosed with CAD based on coronary angiography, laboratory tests, and ECG evidence, while excluding those with other significant health conditions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are non-diabetic patients diagnosed with coronary artery disease.
Not a fit: Patients with diabetes or significant co-morbidities such as liver, kidney, or thyroid disorders may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management of coronary artery disease by highlighting the role of postprandial triglycerides.
How similar studies have performed: While the role of postprandial triglycerides in cardiovascular health is an emerging area, similar studies have shown promising results in understanding lipid metabolism's impact on atherosclerosis.
