Impact of Jet Ski Accidents on Perineal Trauma and Long-term Outcomes
Observational Study of Perineal Trauma After Jet Ski Accidents and Long-term Functional Outcomes Results

What this trial studies
This observational study examines the long-term functional outcomes of patients who suffered ano-perineal trauma due to Jet Ski accidents in France from January 2017 to December 2023. It involves a multicentric retrospective cohort analysis, collecting data on initial management, surgical techniques, and complications from medical records. The study aims to evaluate digestive, urological, and sexual functions, as well as quality of life, using validated questionnaires. The focus is on understanding the repercussions of these injuries, particularly among young women involved in such accidents.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals who experienced ano-perineal trauma following a personal watercraft accident and were treated in France between January 2017 and December 2023.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old will not benefit from this study as they are excluded from participation.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the understanding and management of long-term outcomes for patients with ano-perineal trauma from Jet Ski accidents.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited research specifically on ano-perineal trauma from Jet Ski accidents, similar studies on trauma outcomes have shown varying degrees of success in understanding long-term impacts.
