What this trial studies
This observational study aims to assess how chronic pain affects the quality of life and physical activity in patients. It will validate a Czech version of the Patterns of Activity Measures-Pain scale (POAM-P/CZ) to evaluate activity patterns in individuals suffering from chronic pain. The study will involve a questionnaire survey to gather data on pain intensity, disability, physical activity, BMI, and body composition before and after therapeutic and educational interventions. The findings will help in understanding the relationship between chronic pain and daily functioning.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18-65 with chronic pain lasting at least three months, including those with back pain, joint pain, or pain from rheumatic diseases.
Not a fit: Patients with severe sight or hearing impairments or those with oncological diseases may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved treatment strategies that enhance the quality of life for patients with chronic pain.
How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have explored chronic pain and quality of life, the validation of the POAM-P scale in this context is a novel approach.
