What this trial studies

The PRESERVE & CONNECT project is a multi-site randomized control trial evaluating the Breakthrough Parenting Curriculum (BPC) aimed at improving the lives of families with a history of trauma in rural and diverse communities in Vermont and Connecticut. The study will assess the efficacy of the BPC in enhancing child safety, permanency, and well-being, as well as adult well-being through various measures. Key hypotheses include reductions in substantiated child maltreatment and improvements in parenting practices and child emotional functioning.
