What this trial studies
This clinical trial investigates the effectiveness of a Tidal Model-based psychiatric nursing approach on reducing internalized stigma and improving psychological well-being among mothers of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The study will collect data through scale forms and face-to-face interviews, focusing on the experiences of mothers at a special education school. By addressing the unique challenges faced by these mothers, the trial aims to provide insights into the potential benefits of this nursing approach for their mental health.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are mothers of children diagnosed with ASD who are enrolled at Karaköprü Special Education and Practice School.
Not a fit: Patients who may not benefit from this study include those under 18 years of age or those with a previous diagnosis of mental illness.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly enhance the psychological well-being of mothers caring for children with autism.
How similar studies have performed: While the Tidal Model has been utilized in various mental health contexts, this specific application to mothers of children with ASD is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
