Impact of a care program on family stress during patient transfer from EICU
The Impact of a Transitional Care Management Programme on the Migration Stress of Family Members of Patients Transferred Out of the EICU Under the "Health Care-family-environment" Linkage Model

What this trial studies
This study investigates how a transitional care management program affects the migration stress experienced by family members of trauma patients being transferred from the EICU to a general unit. It focuses on establishing a 'health care-family-environment' linkage mechanism to improve coping styles and care satisfaction among families. The program aims to enhance both the physical and psychological well-being of family members, thereby promoting their role in providing social support to the patients. The intervention includes routine care during the transfer process and tailored support for families.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are family members of trauma patients aged 18 and older who are scheduled for transfer from the EICU and are responsible for the patient's care.
Not a fit: Patients whose family members have cognitive or speech impairments, or who are temporarily transferred or discharged, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly reduce stress levels in family members, improving their overall well-being and ability to support the patient.
How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, this specific linkage mechanism for transitional care management is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
