What this trial studies

This observational study aims to identify and assess risk factors for osteoporosis among adults and children living in the Abay region of Kazakhstan. Utilizing dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry, the study will diagnose osteoporosis and analyze the correlation between various risk factors such as age, gender, lifestyle, and diet. Participants will undergo clinical and epidemiological assessments to quantify these risk factors and evaluate bone mineral density (BMD). The findings will contribute to a better understanding of osteoporosis in this specific population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study include adults and children without a history of pathological fractures or congenital musculoskeletal conditions.

Not a fit: Patients with congenital pathology of the musculoskeletal system may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved early diagnosis and prevention strategies for osteoporosis in the Abay region.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry for osteoporosis diagnosis have shown success, indicating that this approach is well-established.
