What this trial studies

This study aims to establish clinical, radiological, and genetic diagnostic criteria for Primary Failure of Eruption (PFE). It will also explore genotype-phenotype correlations in both PTHR1 and non-PTHR1 forms of PFE, as well as analyze therapeutic failures associated with the condition. The methodology includes various imaging techniques such as panoramic radiography, teleradiography, intraoral X-rays, and CT scans, alongside genetic analysis to provide a comprehensive understanding of PFE.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals over 6 years old diagnosed with Primary Failure of Eruption.

Not a fit: Patients under 6 years old or those with endocrine pathologies that may interfere with dental eruption will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients suffering from Primary Failure of Eruption.

How similar studies have performed: While there may be limited studies specifically targeting PFE, the approach of combining genetic and radiological assessments has shown promise in related dental conditions.
