What this trial studies
This study aims to provide hygiene education to pregnant women diagnosed with urinary tract infections using the teach-back method, where participants explain what they have learned. The research will be conducted in a randomized control design with 70 participants, divided into an intervention group receiving the education and a control group that will not receive any training. The goal is to enhance genital health and inform healthcare practices based on the effectiveness of this educational approach.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are pregnant women aged 18-35 who can read and write Turkish and have been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection.
Not a fit: Patients with risky pregnancy conditions, psychiatric illnesses, or a history of gynecological diseases may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the genital health of pregnant women and reduce the incidence of urinary tract infections.
How similar studies have performed: While similar educational approaches have shown promise in other health contexts, this specific application in pregnant women with urinary tract infections is relatively novel.
