What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the benefits of a hybrid rehabilitation program for patients with multiple sclerosis, consisting of 12 weeks of group circuit training followed by telerehabilitation. Participants will engage in weekly group sessions led by physiotherapists and will use a mobile application to track their physical activities post-rehabilitation. The effectiveness of the program will be assessed through movement skill tests and quality of life questionnaires at the start, after 12 weeks, and at 6 months. The goal is to determine if this approach improves movement skills and overall quality of life for individuals with MS.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older with a confirmed diagnosis of multiple sclerosis who are at least one month post-relapse and can use a smartphone or tablet.
Not a fit: Patients with other illnesses that limit exercise, cognitive deficits affecting cooperation, or those experiencing a relapse during the study may not benefit.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly enhance the physical fitness and quality of life for patients with multiple sclerosis.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with similar hybrid rehabilitation approaches, indicating potential for success in this novel application.
