What this trial studies

This is a cross-sectional observational survey of young adults aged 18–28 conducted at Saglik Bilimleri Universitesi in Istanbul. Participants complete questionnaires measuring sleep quality, neck pain–related disability, and depressive symptoms. Data will be analyzed to identify statistical associations between sleep quality and measures of neck disability and depression. The goal is to determine whether poor sleep co-occurs with higher neck disability and depressive symptoms in this age group.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal participants are healthy young adults aged 18–28 with no history of chronic physical or psychiatric illness who can give informed consent and complete surveys.

Not a fit: People older than 28, those with chronic medical or psychiatric disorders, or those with communication difficulties are unlikely to be eligible or directly benefit from the study's findings.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If confirmed, findings could point to improving sleep as a way to reduce neck pain and depressive symptoms in young adults.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have reported links between poor sleep, musculoskeletal pain, and depression, but causal relationships remain unproven.
