What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a home-based, tele-supervised intervention using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to enhance brain resilience networks. Participants will self-administer the stimulation under remote supervision, targeting brain areas associated with stress resilience. The study seeks to gather evidence on the feasibility and impact of this approach on mental health outcomes, potentially paving the way for future self-administered interventions. By modulating brain activity, the study hopes to improve participants' ability to cope with stress.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals without psychiatric or neurological disorders who are seeking to improve their stress resilience.
Not a fit: Patients with psychiatric conditions, neurological disorders, or contraindications to tDCS will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could provide patients with a novel, accessible method to enhance their resilience to stress and improve mental health.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using non-invasive brain stimulation techniques for mental health improvement, suggesting a potential for success in this novel application.
