What this trial studies
This feasibility study tests Health Web Te@m 1.0, an interprofessional web-based group program designed to support healthy ageing by promoting meaningful everyday activities. It uses a pretest–posttest design without a control group and collects qualitative and quantitative data at the same time to examine feasibility outcomes. Participants are retired adults aged 65+ with internet access who take part in online group sessions delivered in collaboration with primary healthcare settings in northern Sweden. Outcomes include acceptability, adherence, professionals' implementation perspectives, and whether the chosen assessments can detect potential changes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are retired adults aged 65 or older living in ordinary housing who have experienced life changes that risk reduced social participation, can use a computer or tablet and email, and can communicate and consent to participate.
Not a fit: People with severe cognitive impairment or other conditions that prevent informed consent or participation, those already applying for nursing home placement, or those without internet access or basic digital skills are unlikely to benefit from this intervention.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the program could help older adults stay engaged in daily life, improve social participation, and support overall well-being through an accessible online format.
How similar studies have performed: Previous digital group programs for older adults have shown promise for social participation and well-being, but interprofessional web-based approaches like Health Web Te@m remain relatively less tested in primary care settings.
