What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of shared medical appointments for youth aged 12 to 18 with type 2 diabetes. Participants will engage in quarterly clinic appointments and group activities focused on nutrition, peer interactions, exercise, and stress management. The study will compare this group-based intervention to standard care to assess its acceptability and impact on managing diabetes. Surveys will be conducted to gather feedback from participants and caregivers throughout the study.
