Fractional CO2 laser plus topical hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and sodium DNA to improve facial skin in people over 30
Fractional CO2 Laser-assisted Delivery of Hyaluronic Acid, Ascorbic Acid and Sodium DNA For Enhancing Facial Skin Quality in Individuals Over the Age of 30
This will test whether applying hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and sodium DNA after a fractional CO2 laser session improves facial skin quality in people over 30 with photoaged skin.

What this trial studies
The study enrolls adults over 30 with moderate photoaging (SASSQ ≥12) and Fitzpatrick skin types I–III who can attend four clinic visits. After baseline consent, photos, and SASSQ scoring, participants receive a fractional CO2 laser followed immediately by topical hyaluronic acid, ascorbic acid, and sodium DNA. Follow-up visits at one week and four weeks post-treatment include repeat SASSQ scoring, photographic documentation, and adverse event monitoring. Results will be analyzed with repeated-measures ANOVA using IBM SPSS Statistics v29 with p<0.05 as the significance threshold.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 30 with moderate photoaging (SASSQ ≥12), Fitzpatrick skin types I–III, no contraindications to laser or the topical ingredients, and the ability to attend four in-person visits in Mexico City.
Not a fit: People with Fitzpatrick skin types IV–VI, active local infections or suspected malignant lesions, allergy to the study ingredients, hypersensitivity to fractional CO2 laser, pregnancy, or breastfeeding are excluded and unlikely to receive benefit.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could meaningfully improve skin elasticity, reduce wrinkles, pigmentation, and pore appearance beyond laser alone.
How similar studies have performed: Laser-assisted delivery of topical agents after fractional ablative resurfacing has shown improved penetration and clinical skin benefits in prior studies, but the specific combination of hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and sodium DNA is relatively novel.
