What this trial studies

This observational study aims to investigate the long-term effects of maternal health during pregnancy on the growth and development of children aged 5 to 14 years. Participants are those who previously took part in the Glowing and Expecting study and have consented to be contacted for future research. The study will gather data to better understand the relationship between maternal health and child outcomes, contributing to the body of knowledge in pediatric health.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are children aged 5 to 14 years who participated in the previous Glowing and Expecting study.

Not a fit: Patients who were dropped from the Glowing and Expecting studies will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights that help improve maternal and child health practices.

How similar studies have performed: While this study builds on previous findings from the Glowing and Expecting study, the specific approach of following up on maternal health impacts is relatively novel.
