What this trial studies

The CONFIDENCE-AI program aims to alleviate financial stress and enhance resourcefulness among caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. This intervention involves a 4-week series of synchronous group-based Zoom sessions, supplemented by activities designed to apply learned skills. Participants will also receive personalized support through an AI-powered app that provides financial well-being information and allows for question submissions. The program specifically targets Latino/Hispanic caregivers to address unique challenges they may face.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are Latino/Hispanic caregivers of individuals with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease or related dementias who have been experiencing symptoms for at least six months.

Not a fit: Patients who are planning to place their family member in a nursing home within the next three months may not benefit from this program.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly reduce financial strain and improve the quality of life for caregivers managing the costs associated with dementia care.

How similar studies have performed: While there may be similar interventions aimed at caregiver support, this specific approach utilizing AI and tailored financial education is relatively novel.
