What this trial studies
This randomized trial enrolls 34 male soccer players aged 8 to 15 who are randomly assigned to either the FIFA 11+ or the RAMP warm-up protocol for six weeks. Agility is measured with the Illinois Agility Test and sprint performance with a 30-meter sprint, each taken before and after the intervention. Sessions are conducted at Model Town Football Club in Lahore and data are analyzed using SPSS v27. The goal is to provide direct, empirical comparison of two widely used warm-up protocols to guide coaches working with youth players.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Boys aged 8–15 with at least one year of organized soccer experience who currently train three or more times per week and can attend supervised sessions are ideal candidates.
Not a fit: Children with cardiovascular, neurological, or recent musculoskeletal injuries, those enrolled in other structured prevention or strength programs, or those unable to complete baseline testing may not benefit or will be excluded.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the results could help coaches pick the warm-up that better improves speed and agility and may reduce injury risk in young players.
How similar studies have performed: FIFA 11+ has demonstrated injury reductions and some performance gains in previous youth and adult studies, but direct comparisons with RAMP in young players are limited.
