What this trial studies

This observational study evaluates a new management pathway for patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) in Hong Kong. It involves a retrospective-prospective longitudinal cohort design, comparing patient outcomes before and after the introduction of the pathway. The study aims to enhance the referral process from general outpatient clinics to specialist clinics, utilizing assessment tools like transient elastography and HBV DNA assays. Additionally, it will analyze linkage-to-care rates over a three-year period prior to the pathway's launch.
