What this trial studies
This observational study investigates the prevalence of urinary stress incontinence and other pelvic floor dysfunctions among female trail runners. Participants will complete an online questionnaire to provide insights into their experiences and the impact of trail running on pelvic floor health. The study aims to shed light on a commonly overlooked issue that affects many women engaged in high-impact sports. By focusing on trail runners, the research seeks to understand the unique physical demands of this activity and its correlation with pelvic floor disorders.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adult female trail runners residing in mainland France or French overseas territories.
Not a fit: Patients who are pregnant, have recently given birth, or do not understand French may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to better awareness and management strategies for urinary incontinence among female athletes.
