What this trial studies
This trial investigates how virtual natural environments can enhance the mental and physical health of older adults residing in long-term care facilities. A total of 120 participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: a virtual reality group, a tablet-based natural environments group, and a control group receiving routine care. The intervention involves viewing virtual landscapes for 10 minutes, three times a week, over eight weeks, with data collected at multiple time points to assess overall well-being. Additionally, qualitative interviews will be conducted with participants in the VR group to capture their experiences and emotional responses.
