What this trial studies
This observational study aims to investigate the relationship between a specific clinical experience known as Praecox Feeling and Self-Disorders in individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. The researchers will explore how these subjective experiences correlate with cognitive and clinical features of the condition. By analyzing data from a multicentric setting, the study seeks to enhance understanding of the phenomenological aspects of schizophrenia and their implications for treatment. The study will involve participants who are clinically stable and have not changed their antipsychotic medication recently.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia who are clinically stable and have not changed their antipsychotic treatment in the last 15 days.
Not a fit: Patients with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities or neurological conditions affecting cognition may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the understanding of schizophrenia symptoms and lead to better clinical assessments and interventions.
How similar studies have performed: While the specific focus on Praecox Feeling is less explored, related studies on Self-Disorders have shown promising insights into schizophrenia, indicating potential for success.
