What this trial studies
This observational study aims to gather insights from patients who have completed a Pain Management Programme (PMP) at the Walton Centre regarding their perspectives on the potential benefits of exercise videos. The focus is on understanding whether these videos could help patients maintain regular exercise after completing the PMP. Participants will be engaged in focus groups to discuss their experiences and expectations related to exercise videos that reflect the exercises practiced during the PMP. The study seeks to identify motivational factors that could support sustained engagement in physical activity.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18 and older who have attended a Pain Management Programme at the Walton Centre within the last 12 months.
Not a fit: Patients who have not attended a PMP at the Walton Centre or those who attended more than 12 months ago may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into how exercise videos can enhance the ability of patients with chronic pain to maintain regular exercise.
How similar studies have performed: While this approach is focused on patient perspectives, similar studies exploring the use of exercise videos for chronic pain management have shown promising results in enhancing patient engagement.
