What this trial studies

This study investigates how stroke patients perceive the usability and feasibility of the RehAtt™ mixed-reality system during rehabilitation focused on upper limb, gait, and balance functions. By utilizing immersive technology, the study aims to integrate virtual objects into real-world scenarios to enhance both physical and cognitive rehabilitation. Patient perspectives are gathered through semi-structured interviews to assess their experiences and feedback on the system.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals who have experienced their first ischaemic or hemorrhagic stroke and have one-sided hemiparesis with adequate cognitive abilities.

Not a fit: Patients with severe cognitive impairment, aphasia, or other significant neurological or orthopedic conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this could lead to improved rehabilitation outcomes for stroke patients through enhanced engagement and effectiveness of therapy.

How similar studies have performed: While the use of mixed reality in rehabilitation is an emerging field, similar studies have shown promising results in enhancing patient engagement and outcomes.
