What this trial studies

This study investigates the effects of adding rotator cuff and scapular muscle strengthening exercises to an 8-week elbow-focused rehabilitation program for patients with lateral elbow tendinopathy. Participants will be compared against those receiving only the elbow-focused rehabilitation. The goal is to determine if the additional exercises improve outcomes for individuals suffering from this condition. The study will include patients aged 18-65 who have been diagnosed with unilateral lateral elbow tendinopathy and have experienced symptoms for at least three months.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18-65 with unilateral lateral elbow tendinopathy and persistent symptoms for at least three months.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of trauma or surgery in the elbow, or those with other orthopedic issues, may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to improved recovery and reduced symptoms for patients with lateral elbow tendinopathy.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with similar rehabilitation approaches, suggesting potential for success in this study.
