What this trial studies
This clinical trial investigates the effects of Universal Exercise Unit therapy combined with task-oriented training on children diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy. Conducted at the Sialkot Medical and Physiotherapy Center, the study will involve 68 participants aged 5-15, divided into two groups: one receiving the combined therapy and the other receiving only task-oriented training. The trial will last for 10 months, with training sessions held twice a week, and outcomes will be measured using standardized tools to assess gross motor function and balance. Data analysis will be performed using SPSS software to evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are children aged 5-15 with spastic cerebral palsy who can understand and follow commands.
Not a fit: Patients with severe physical limitations, planned surgeries, or cognitive impairments may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve motor skills and functional independence in children with cerebral palsy.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown positive outcomes with similar therapeutic approaches, indicating potential for success.
