What this trial studies
This study evaluates the impact of a mobile app-based exercise program on the physical and cardiovascular function of individuals suffering from post-COVID-19 syndrome. A total of 60 participants will be randomly assigned to either a control group that follows standard physical activity guidelines or an experimental group that engages in app-based training. The primary focus is to assess improvements in functional parameters related to fatigue and dyspnea. The study aims to provide a structured approach to rehabilitation for those affected by lingering symptoms of COVID-19.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 who experience significant fatigue and dyspnea but have no contraindications for exercise.
Not a fit: Patients with severe cognitive impairments or those at high risk of falls may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the physical health and quality of life for patients recovering from post-COVID-19 syndrome.
How similar studies have performed: While there is emerging evidence supporting exercise interventions for post-COVID-19 recovery, this specific app-based approach is relatively novel.
