What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a specific exercise program designed for women experiencing urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction following childbirth. It will involve 300 women, including those with various types of urinary incontinence and healthy controls. Participants will be divided into groups based on their willingness to engage in the exercise program, with the experimental group receiving physiotherapy and exercise guidance over six weeks. The study will assess both the immediate and longer-term impacts of the exercise regimen on urinary incontinence symptoms.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are women aged 20-80 who have experienced urinary incontinence after childbirth.
Not a fit: Patients who do not have urinary incontinence or have undergone recent abdominal surgeries may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly reduce urinary incontinence symptoms in postpartum women, improving their quality of life.
