What this trial studies

This clinical trial investigates the effects of a combined aquatic and land-based exercise program on pain, mobility, and quality of life in adults suffering from chronic low back pain. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an aquatic exercise program or a combined program to assess differences in pain levels, functional disability, and overall quality of life. The study aims to determine if the combined approach offers greater benefits compared to aquatic exercise alone.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 years old with chronic low back pain lasting three months or longer and a pain intensity of 3 or higher on the Visual Analogue Scale.

Not a fit: Patients with pain radiating to the lower limb, recent pregnancy, or severe underlying health conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly reduce pain and improve the quality of life for patients with chronic low back pain.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with exercise interventions for chronic low back pain, suggesting this approach may be effective.
