What this trial studies
This project aims to improve health outcomes for cancer survivors through a structured exercise program. It utilizes a hybrid implementation-effectiveness design, linking survivors with Certified Exercise Physiologists and community-based fitness professionals. Participants will undergo screening to tailor exercise plans that include aerobic, resistance, balance, and flexibility training. The program is based on the successful Alberta Cancer Exercise model and is designed to address the physical and psychological challenges faced by cancer survivors.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with cancer and are either pre-treatment, undergoing active treatment, or have completed treatment within the last five years.
Not a fit: Patients who are under 18 years of age or unable to participate in mild levels of physical activity may not benefit from this program.
Why it matters
