What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effects of a five-week exercise intervention on posture, trunk flexibility, and spine function in patients with Parkinson's disease. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an exercise group or a control group, with the exercise group engaging in 50 minutes of targeted exercises twice a week, including stretching, core strengthening, and balance activities. The study will assess various outcomes such as pain, balance, gait, and quality of life before and after the intervention to determine the effectiveness of the exercise program.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals with Parkinson's disease classified as Hoehn-Yahr stages 2 to 3 who are stable and compliant with their medication.

Not a fit: Patients with cognitive impairments, musculoskeletal injuries, or acute neurological disorders may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve the quality of life and physical function for patients with Parkinson's disease.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown positive outcomes with exercise interventions in improving physical function in Parkinson's patients, suggesting this approach is promising.
