What this trial studies
This study evaluates the relationship between the measurements of the labium minora and clitoral hood in women and their scores on the Female Genital Self Image Scale (FGSIS). Women aged 18-45 who visit the clinic for gynecological issues will have their genital dimensions measured and will complete the FGSIS. The goal is to understand how perceptions of the genital area correlate with anatomical measurements. This observational study aims to provide insights into women's self-image related to their genital health.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are sexually active women aged 18-45 who seek outpatient gynecological care.
Not a fit: Patients who are not sexually active, have pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, malignancies, or endocrinological diseases may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance understanding of how anatomical perceptions affect women's self-image and inform future interventions.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be limited studies directly correlating genital measurements with self-image, similar research in related fields has shown promising results.
