What this trial studies
This study investigates the differences in pressure pain threshold and pinch grip strength between individuals suffering from chronic neck pain and those without. Chronic neck pain is a prevalent issue, particularly among workers, and can lead to significant functional limitations and reduced quality of life. The research aims to explore how these physical parameters relate to overall quality of life, providing insights into the impact of chronic neck pain. Participants will be assessed for their pain sensitivity and grip strength to better understand the condition's effects.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals experiencing neck pain for more than three months who can communicate in Turkish.
Not a fit: Patients with neurological, psychiatric, or cognitive disorders may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management strategies for chronic neck pain, enhancing patients' quality of life.
How similar studies have performed: While studies on chronic pain and functional limitations are common, this specific investigation into pressure pain threshold and grip strength in neck pain is relatively novel.
