What this trial studies

This clinical trial investigates the impact of magnification and the clinical experience of the dentist on the success rates of full pulpotomy procedures in mature adult molars suffering from irreversible pulpitis. Participants will undergo pulpotomy treatment and will have their pain levels recorded, with follow-up visits to assess outcomes. The study aims to determine whether using magnification during the procedure improves success rates compared to traditional methods without magnification.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are healthy adults diagnosed with acute irreversible pulpitis in their maxillary or mandibular permanent molars.

Not a fit: Patients with non-vital teeth, apical periodontitis, or other significant dental issues will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the effectiveness of pulpotomy treatments, leading to better patient outcomes and reduced pain.

How similar studies have performed: While the specific combination of magnification and clinical experience in pulpotomy is less explored, similar studies have shown that magnification can improve surgical outcomes in various dental procedures.
