What this trial studies

This observational study investigates kinesiophobia, or the fear of movement, among amateur volleyball players aged 18-30, focusing on differences between genders. It aims to understand how this fear impacts athletic performance, psychological well-being, and overall physical condition. The study will assess factors such as sleep quality and stress levels, which may influence kinesiophobia and pain perception in athletes. By analyzing these relationships, the research seeks to highlight the importance of addressing kinesiophobia in sports settings.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are amateur volleyball players aged 18-30.

Not a fit: Patients under 18, those who have had recent surgeries, or those using specific medications may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved mental health and performance outcomes for volleyball players by addressing kinesiophobia.

How similar studies have performed: While the specific focus on kinesiophobia in volleyball players may be novel, related studies have shown that addressing psychological factors can improve athletic performance.
