What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital health care delivery models in improving health outcomes for Medicaid patients with hypertension, diabetes, and those who are pregnant. It employs a mixed-method approach, including a controlled interrupted time series design for hypertension and diabetes, a cohort study for pregnancy, and longitudinal interviews with patients and providers to gather insights on their experiences. This methodology is particularly useful when randomization is not feasible, allowing for a thorough assessment of public health interventions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include Medicaid patients with hypertension, diabetes, or those who are pregnant, who are receiving care at designated health care centers.
Not a fit: Patients not enrolled in the MIC Program or those who do not meet the specified health conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved health outcomes for Medicaid patients through effective digital health interventions.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using digital health interventions for similar populations, indicating potential for success in this approach.
