What this trial studies

This intervention aims to enhance parent-teen communication regarding adolescent health, particularly focusing on sexual health and behaviors. The program includes an online self-paced Parent Guide, videos demonstrating effective communication, and group sessions for parents to discuss content and skills. Conducted by Child Trends in collaboration with Morehouse School of Medicine, the study will involve 1,000 parent-teen pairs in Georgia, measuring outcomes through surveys administered immediately after the intervention and nine months later. The goal is to delay sexual initiation and increase contraceptive use among youth aged 12-15.
