What this trial studies

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of three treatment approaches for veterans with substance use disorders admitted to the Charleston VA Psychiatric inpatient unit. Participants will receive either the Combined Recovery Program (CRP), a six-session group therapy, a Home Telehealth program called Stable and Able (S&A) for support post-discharge, or Treatment-as-Usual (TAU). The study will follow participants for up to three months after discharge to evaluate outcomes related to recovery and quality of life. The goal is to reduce high rates of readmission and improve overall health and social functioning.
