What this trial studies

This study aims to assess the prognostic value of surem TRAF3IP2 levels in patients diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction who undergo coronary angiography. It will involve measuring TRAF3IP2 levels using ELISA and analyzing their association with major adverse cardiac events (MACEs). The research builds on previous findings in animal models, seeking to provide human data on the role of TRAF3IP2 in heart disease.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction who have undergone coronary angiography.

Not a fit: Patients with advanced heart failure, malignancies, acute infections, or other significant health issues may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help identify patients at higher risk for adverse cardiac events following a heart attack.

How similar studies have performed: While previous studies have shown the role of TRAF3IP2 in animal models, this approach is novel in human subjects.
