Evaluating TRAF3IP2 Levels and Atherosclerotic Plaque in Humans

The Surem TRAF3IP2 Level and Atherosclerotic Plaque Development in Human

Observational Nanjing Medical University · NCT05945394

What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess the relationship between surem TRAF3IP2 levels and the development of atherosclerotic plaques in patients undergoing coronary angiography. Building on previous findings in mice, the study will enroll patients and measure their TRAF3IP2 levels using ELISA. The goal is to establish whether there is a significant association between these levels and the presence of atherosclerotic plaques in humans.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients with suspected coronary heart disease who are scheduled for coronary angiography.

Not a fit: Patients with advanced heart failure (NYHA III-IV), malignant tumors, acute infections, or thyroid dysfunction may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights into the role of TRAF3IP2 in coronary heart disease, potentially leading to new diagnostic or therapeutic strategies.

How similar studies have performed: While previous studies have shown the role of TRAF3IP2 in animal models, this study is novel as it seeks to establish similar associations in humans.
