What this trial studies
This study collects and analyzes data from patients undergoing clinically indicated cardiovascular computed tomography angiography (CCTA) over a 10-year period. It aims to explore the relationships between imaging results, laboratory markers, and clinical data to predict mortality and major adverse cardiac events (MACE). By utilizing a comprehensive registry and standard case report forms, the study seeks to integrate findings with international data to enhance understanding of cardiovascular disease. Both retrospective and prospective data will be evaluated to provide a multidimensional view of patient outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 years old who are undergoing clinically indicated CCTA.
Not a fit: Patients who are not undergoing CCTA or are under 18 years old may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the prediction of cardiovascular events and enhance patient management strategies.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using imaging and biomarkers to predict cardiovascular outcomes, making this approach both relevant and potentially impactful.
