What this trial studies
This observational study aims to assess the impact of hospital pharmacists on drug management for patients with bronchopulmonary cancer undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or oral targeted therapy. By utilizing questionnaires and data collection sheets, the study will evaluate the number of unscheduled consultations and hospitalizations over a six-month period. The research highlights the importance of collaboration between hospital and community pharmacists to enhance patient care and safety, particularly in a context of healthcare staff shortages. Participants will be included based on specific eligibility criteria and will receive standard cancer treatment.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older with bronchopulmonary cancer receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or oral targeted therapy.
Not a fit: Patients who are cognitively impaired, pregnant, or participating in other clinical drug trials may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve patient outcomes by reducing unscheduled hospital visits and enhancing medication management.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies in other French regions have explored the role of hospital pharmacists, but this specific approach assessing patient impact is novel.
