Evaluating the prevalence of anatomical variants of dural sinuses in the Sohag population
Prevalence of Anatomical Variants of Dural Sinuses by MRV Evaluation in Sohag
This study is trying to find out how common different shapes of brain veins are in people from Sohag to help doctors diagnose related health issues better.

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to assess the prevalence of anatomical variants of dural venous sinuses using magnetic resonance venography (MRV) in the population of Sohag. By identifying these variants, the study seeks to enhance diagnostic accuracy for conditions such as dural venous sinus thrombosis, venous infarcts, and venous hemorrhage. Participants will include individuals with normal cerebral MRV who consent to take part, while those with certain neurological conditions or contraindications for MRI will be excluded.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are Sohag residents with normal cerebral MRV results who are willing to participate.
Not a fit: Patients with existing neurological conditions or contraindications for MRI will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve diagnostic practices and patient outcomes related to venous conditions in the brain.
How similar studies have performed: While similar studies on anatomical variants have been conducted, this specific focus on the Sohag population using MRV is relatively novel.
