Evaluating the effects of aerobic exercise on heart health and gut bacteria in new dilated cardiomyopathy patients
Study on the Changes of Intestinal Flora and Cardiac Fibrosis in Patients With Dilated Cardiomyopathy Diagnosed for the First Time by Sports Rehabilitation
This study is testing if a personalized aerobic exercise program can help new dilated cardiomyopathy patients improve their heart health and gut bacteria.

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to investigate how aerobic exercise rehabilitation affects myocardial fibrosis and intestinal flora in patients newly diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. Participants will undergo a personalized aerobic exercise plan based on their cardiopulmonary exercise test results while receiving routine cardiac rehabilitation. The study will assess changes in cardiac health through cardiac MRI and analyze shifts in gut microbiota. The goal is to determine if aerobic exercise can inhibit the progression of myocardial fibrosis and improve gut health in these patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients hospitalized for the first time due to heart failure and diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy.
Not a fit: Patients with other types of cardiomyopathy or those who have previously been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights into non-invasive rehabilitation strategies that improve heart function and gut health in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy.
How similar studies have performed: While previous studies have shown benefits of aerobic exercise in heart failure patients, the specific focus on myocardial fibrosis and gut microbiota in dilated cardiomyopathy is relatively novel.
