What this trial studies

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of various stress management interventions on the stress levels of caregivers for patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT). It focuses on caregivers who are primary support for patients at Moffitt Cancer Center and evaluates how these interventions can alleviate caregiver burden. Participants will engage in different programs designed to promote healthy living and stress reduction. The study will measure the impact of these interventions on both caregivers and patients throughout the treatment process.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include caregivers of patients planning to receive allogeneic HCT at Moffitt Cancer Center who can commit to being the primary caregiver throughout treatment.

Not a fit: Patients who are not receiving their transplant at Moffitt Cancer Center or those who cannot remain primary caregivers will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could significantly reduce stress and improve the well-being of caregivers, leading to better support for cancer patients.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with stress management interventions for caregivers in similar healthcare settings, indicating potential for success in this approach.
