What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess the impact of a customized abutment on soft tissue volume changes following molar extraction and immediate dental implant placement. A total of 20 patients in ASA I health status will be recruited, and their soft tissue status will be recorded using digital impressions before and six months after the procedure. Participants will also complete a questionnaire regarding their perception of the treatment process and outcomes. The study will analyze comparative volume measurements and patient feedback to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of the sealing technique.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients in ASA I health status who require immediate post-extraction implants in the molar area.

Not a fit: Patients with affected cortical bone or other medical conditions that prevent dental implant placement will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the outcomes of immediate dental implant procedures by enhancing soft tissue preservation.

How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, this specific technique's effectiveness in soft tissue preservation remains novel and untested.
