Evaluating outcomes of double-bundle surgery for knee ligament tears
Assessment of Outcomes of Double-bundle Posterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction (DB-PCLR)

What this trial studies
This observational study assesses the outcomes of double-bundle posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (DB-PCLR) in patients with symptomatic posterior instability due to PCL tears. The study aims to determine the effectiveness of this more complex surgical technique compared to traditional methods. Participants will be evaluated based on their knee function and recovery following the procedure. The study will include patients who meet specific criteria regarding their knee condition and range of motion.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals with a grade III PCL tear and symptomatic posterior instability who have full knee range of motion.
Not a fit: Patients with active knee inflammation or fixed posterior drawer may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to improved recovery and function for patients with PCL tears.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising outcomes with double-bundle techniques, suggesting potential benefits over traditional methods.
Eligibility criteria
