What this trial studies

This study is a randomized factorial trial aimed at assessing unguided, transdiagnostic internet-delivered cognitive behavior therapy (ICBT) specifically designed for public safety personnel. It explores the effects of different course delivery timings and the incorporation of social learning resources on user experience, adherence, and treatment outcomes. Participants will be recruited through social media and organizational outreach, and will complete an online screening questionnaire to determine eligibility. The study seeks to enhance engagement and effectiveness of self-guided ICBT for individuals facing barriers to traditional mental health services.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are current or former public safety personnel residing in Canada who have regular internet access.

Not a fit: Patients who do not meet the criteria of being public safety personnel or who lack internet access may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide an effective mental health intervention tailored for public safety personnel, improving their access to necessary support.
