Evaluating normal cardiac MRI values and protocols without contrast
Optimization of Non-contrast Enhanced 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Techniques and Acquisition of Normal Values
Medical University of Graz · NCT01728597

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to evaluate and optimize various cardiac magnetic resonance imaging protocols at 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla without the use of contrast agents. It focuses on acquiring normal values for myocardial morphology, cardiac function, and coronary artery imaging. The study will assess the impact of different imaging sequences and protocols on the quality of cardiac MR images. Participants will be healthy individuals with no history of cardiovascular diseases, contributing to the establishment of baseline data for future cardiac MR investigations.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy individuals with no history of cardiac or pulmonary diseases.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases or those who cannot undergo MRI due to metal implants or other contraindications will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide essential baseline data for cardiac MRI, improving diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on cardiac MRI protocols, this specific approach focusing on non-contrast imaging and establishing normal values is relatively novel.
