What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess the motor development and sensory processing in infants diagnosed with congenital muscular torticollis (CMT). CMT is a common postural deformity that can lead to various developmental delays and asymmetries. The study will evaluate infants aged 0-12 months to understand how head position affects their motor skills and sensory integration. By identifying these impacts early, the study seeks to provide insights into effective interventions for improving outcomes in affected children.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are infants aged 0-12 months diagnosed with congenital muscular torticollis whose parents provide consent.

Not a fit: Patients with chromosomal abnormalities, serious congenital problems, or vision-hearing issues may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved early interventions for infants with congenital muscular torticollis, enhancing their motor development and overall quality of life.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited literature on this specific approach, the study addresses a recognized gap in understanding the developmental impacts of congenital muscular torticollis.
